What Are Girls Clubs?

Girls Clubs are a ministry of the International Women's Ministries

Little Sweethearts
Pre-school girls (ages 3-5) are provided exciting learning experiences through personal development and relationship skills, fellowship and recreation in a Christian atmosphere.

BlueBelles
Primary Girls (grades 1-3) are provided exciting learning experiences through the achievement series, Bluebelles Bible Explorations, merit badge studies, and group activites.

Joy Belles
Junior girls (grades4-6) are provided group activites, an exciting achievement program Journeys With Joy Belles, and merit badge studies.

Little Sweethearts, Bluebelles and Joy Belles exist for the purpose of:

  • encouraging growth in Christ
  • developing personal character, abilites and skills
  • discovering ways to serve others
  • providing Christian fellowship and recreation
  • winning peers for Christ

Young Ladies Ministries
YLM is an outreach ministry to teenage girls (grades 7-12).  The highest aspiration is that every girl will become a Christian and then be sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Mother Program

International Women’s Ministries developed the Prayer Mother Program for the purpose of mentoring young women. With this ministry, a Christian woman is paired with a club member and they covenant to pray daily for each other. Through this relationship, a bond of love and trust is developed and generational barriers may be prevented. This mentoring ministry can be expanded to include young boys with Christian male role models.

The opportunity for blessings and life-changing benefits for youth and adults are unbelievably enormous! When prayer is woven tightly into the program from the beginning, the potential for success will be assured. Our children deserve all the caring, teaching and training we can give them.

Informational brochures, an installation program, Prayer Mother ribbons and commitment cards are available through the Women's Ministries Resource Catalog.

International Girls Club Week

Valentine’s Week has been set aside to recognize Girls Clubs. Girls are given the opportunity to minister in the home, church, community and world as well as be ministered to by their local churches. Girls Clubs Week provides valuable opportunities to reach out to unchurched girls and young ladies in the community to involve them in the life-changing ministry of Girls Clubs.

During Girls Clubs Week, each club is encouraged to give an offering or have a fund-raiser for the Women’s Ministries World Missions project or translation, publication and distribution of Girls Clubs materials. This is a completely voluntary activity that will bring a rich reward to our girls as they become involved in the lives of others.

Each year a program containing suggested activities and information on the current Girls on a Mission (WWAM) project is made available by the International Women’s Ministries and can be ordered from...

International Women’s Ministries Office
P.O. Box 2430
Cleveland, TN 37320-2430
423-478-7168 (Voice)
423-478-789 (Fax)

The program is adaptable to be used anytime during the year to emphasize this outreach.

Girls Clubs Chartering

How Does a Club Become Chartered?

In order for a group to become chartered, a request form must be completed and sent to the International Women’s Ministries Office. The cost of the charter is a one-time fee of $6.00. With the purchase of a charter, the club is eligible to receive membership cards at no charge on request.

Charter certificates are suitable for framing and display. The church’s name, chartering date, and assigned number are on the certificate, as well as the signatures of the International Women’s Ministries Coordinator, the International Girls Clubs Assistant, the State Girls Clubs Coordinator and the Pastor.

Counselor Enrichment Training

Counselor Enrichment Training Course (CETC)

This new and updated manual is an excellent self-study course for all counselors, though not required. The CETC program will assist with some of the unique challenges that ministry to girls presents.

This manual consists of six sections titled:

A Girls Club Counselor... Models
A Girls Club Counselor... Mentors
A Girls Club Counselor... Motivates
A Girls Club Counselor... Maintains
A Girls Club Counselor... Monitors
A Girls Club Counselor... Ministers

The CETC program contains a Bible study, scripture worksheets, and current information to train our Girls Clubs counselors. Each notebook will serve as an excellent resource guide for counselors. This manual continues to include vital church and club histories, as well as age group characteristics. All four clubs will use the same training course, preparing counselors for working with any group.
