2. World Missions
Women With A Mission (WWAM):
Each assembly period a special missions challenge is adopted
by the Board of Directors and promoted by the International
Department of Women’s Ministries. Since its inception, most
of these projects have been suggested by the Department of
World Missions and are projects outside the United States.
Occasionally, however, an appropriate project for an area of
ministry within the United States is selected.
The 2006-2008 WWAM Project is, "A Heart for Zambia:
Giving Faith and a Future".
This campaign will supply additional dormitories,
classrooms, and staff housing for Nyamphande Orphanage near
Lusaka, Zambia, on the continent of Africa. Nyamphande
is led by Bishop John and Teresa Mambo and currently serves
over 700 children.

5. Literature Translation and Distribution:
The
need for ministry to women spreads to every corner of the
globe. To help facilitate this, Women’s Ministries
materials are being translated into languages other than
English. The annual International Women’s Ministries
Heritage Day offering funds the translation, publication and
distribution of these materials, and assists with
international conferences. Through this offering, received
in the local church and sent to the Women's Ministries
Department, women
are able to participate in the passing of our spiritual
heritage to the next generation. |
